eKGcitizen – Prestigious Award for Software Application

The implementation of software solutions in the field of public administration is of great importance, both for citizens and employees in local government, as it ensures a smoother and more efficient operation.

The city of Kragujevac has shown remarkable progress in the areas of efficiency and effectiveness, and it stands as an exemplary case in the implementation of software applications in the public sector. By using innovative software applications in daily business processes, such as the eKGrađanin application, this city has become one of the four local government units to win the prestigious award for the best city administration in 2022.

eKGrađanin is a software application developed by the local company Technosigma (part of the Adriatec group). It enables citizens and legal entities to report problems and offers a unique centralized ticketing system for tracking all issues, complaints, and suggestions from the residents of Kragujevac.

“I am pleased that our software solution contributed to the city of Kragujevac receiving an award from the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government in the area of Efficiency and Effectiveness. As we celebrate 23 years of successful business, this award is especially significant for us as it serves as a confirmation of our work,” said Dejan Ilić, founder and president of the companies within the Adriatec group – Adriatec, Technosector, and Technosigma from Kragujevac, the creators of the award-winning software solution. “The Contact Center software solution is a comprehensive platform for communication between two entities – cities and citizens, the utility sector and users, student centers and students, political parties and citizens, public health organizers and patients, companies and employees, or companies and clients,” emphasized Dejan Ilić.

“This recognition is important for the city, but even more so for the people of Kragujevac, as it enables a systematic and organized approach to involving them in decision-making. All citizens’ requests and issues, as well as suggestions from local community councils, are received in a unified system. Anything that remains unresolved is transferred into the ‘personal ID’ application for local communities, sorted by the nature of the issue,” explained Sanja Tucaković, a member of the City Council for Local Self-Government.

The annual awards for the best city administration are granted by the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government. Kragujevac is one of the four local government units to have received these awards. In addition to Kragujevac, the municipality of Sokobanja won in the area of Transparency and Public Participation in local government work, Vranje received the award for Responsibility and Rule of Law, while Vrnjačka Banja took first place in the category of Equality and Anti-Discrimination.
